#1. Treasurer: Diana KA6TZU reported January (1/01/2022) B of A beginning balance of $4490.85. Ending balance of $4579.33 (2/25/2022). All bills paid. Detailed Treasurer’s Report was provided to the Board.

#2. Technical: Trevor WA6JAU reported all repeaters working well, as is our EchoLink.  EchoLink now allows seven (7) simultaneous users up from only a single user previously.  Secretary, Diana KA6TZU, to send letter of acknowledgement and appreciation to Craig KD6RDD for his contributions to, and support of, CCRA and our EchoLink system. Vicki reported speaking with John Glass NU6P, who is continuing with the programming of our new system controller. He estimated completion mid-summer 2022. Vicki to follow-up with John to assure progress and completion time line.

#3: Net: Jim WA6EKS Net Control Coordinator discussed Monday night check-ins,  suggesting we drop those members from the roll-call who have not checked in for three consecutive weeks, relisting them upon subsequent check-in.  This is to streamline the check-in process. May be implemented after further evaluation and determination of method of accomplishing.

#4: NARCC: Vicki N6KLS, as the CCRA/NARCC interface, to contact NARCC to update our repeater system coordination status and renew via their website when she returns to AZ 3/1/22.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Fix B of A on-line security phone number with Steve WA6HAM and bank to allow Treasurer’s access to recently established On-Line Banking. This to ease Treasurers workload. Treasurer and Steve action.
2. Continued past discussions regarding CCRA call sign, WA6HAM, which is currently assigned to an individual and not a club. No specific action assigned other than discuss with Steve.

Venue: Legends Heroes and Sports Bar at Diablo Creek Golf Course

Meeting called to order at 9 AM PST by Vicki N6KLS, CCRA Chair.  The General meeting was preceded by a meeting of the CCRA Board that commenced at 8 AM PST.

Eighteen (18) members and guests were in attendance.  Introductions, name and call sign were presented in rotation around the room. Each attendee invited to briefly review their ham activities over previous month.

Vicki introduced Mary KD6MKS now joining as a Net Control Team member, one of our five rotating Monday night net controller’s. Warm welcome and thanks given Mary.

Jim WA6EKS announced there was a consensus at the Board Meeting this morning that if a member misses three (3) consecutive Monday night net check-ins their call will be dropped from the roll call list. Members will be relisted upon subsequent check-ins. This may be implemented in the future after further evaluation.

Treasurer’s report given by Diana KA6TZU. Beginning balance as of 1 January 2022, $4490.85. Total disbursements $254.52.  Ending balance as of 25 February 2022, $4579.33.

Trevor WA6JAU reported WA6HAM repeater system working very well and EchoLink now expanded from one to five simultaneous participants. Members thanked Trevor and Craig KD6RDD for making this happen and their continued tech support of the CCRA.

Mike Patterson N6JGA, our ARRL East Bay Section Manager gave update on recent ARRL local and national activities. He then, representing the MDARC, provided a Pacificon planning overview and solicited volunteers for the several Pacificon Committee openings.

Brad K6JPR mentioned that he recently visited the CCRA website and a “Not a secure site” notice popped up. Steve WA6HAM indicated that this is dependent on the user’s browser security settings. He assured the attendees that the CCRA website is “safe and secure”. It was noted that preferably others seeking the CCRA site not be greeted with such a notice. We will consider looking into if/how the notice can be easily eliminated.  Specific action not assigned.

March Meeting scheduled for Saturday the 26th. 2022.

CCRA Roster as of March 5, 2022..

Meeting called to order by Brad Sage-K6JPR.  We skipped introductions since everyone knew each other. Invited folks to share activities in last month or so.

Diana gave Treasurer report.  Also reported of 47 members on existing roster of 1/5/2022, 37 folks have renewed their dues for 2022.  I am also keeping a weekly tally of member & guest check-ins on our Monday night NET check-in.

Brad opened discussion of Mesh and a brief summary of last months Mesh discussions.  Craig McBurney KD6RDD said the Delta Club, Baypoint/Antioch would be interested in having a speaker come to there February meeting to talk about Mesh.  Brad to provide speaker list to KD6RDD.  Brad K6JPR, said MDARC has a committee set up to work on getting Mesh up and running in East bay. Mike Warren (also CCRA member) is chairing that committee.

Doug worked at Matson Navigation Company and was instrumental in the quick rebuilding of the Oakland Pier after the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.  Doug was a good friend, told great stories and was a pleasure to know as a friend.  He will be greatly missed…

I took the liberty of amending the By Laws we had approved on 11/25/2012. Yes in 9 years there has been a few changes. So you don’t have to guess what I amended here following are the changes:

IV. a, b, and e-amended the bank account information: It used to read “They will have co-signature responsibilities for the CCRA bank account.” New language reads “They will have signature authority for the CCRA bank account.” Background: Steve indicates our business account is set up to require only 1 signature to write an approved check, not co-signatures.

IV. a-Added,
A control operator may be designed by the Repeater Trustee per the FCC guidelines.

voting of members must be 2/3 vote of members present at the meeting

IV. c-added the same language as above a, b, and e giving signature authority to the Vice Chairperson as well. I believe this was an oversight previously that we did not authorize this person signature authority.

IV. d-Last sentence reading The Technical Committee Lead must be able to work closely with the Repeater Trustee (s) and those on the Executive Board……
Added Technical Committee Members after the words Repeater Trustee (s).

Everything else I-IV remains identical as previously approved by the membership.

V. Revised the annual membership to indicate $30.00 instead of 20, added the couples cost of $35.
Removed the last line of V a, b and C-members no longer receive an repeater control codes according to Trevor.

V.b-revised household maximum to $45.00.

VI. Assessment-added vote of two thirds of the voting members of the Association present at the meeting when voted upon

VIII. Added by electronic means-Meetings of the members of the Association shall be held monthly in person, by electronic means…
